There were four of us there last night, everyone had ordered something different and we were absolutely thrilled with what was served to us there, the service staff are also very attentive and friendly. We'll be back !! So if you appreciate good German cuisine, you've come to the right place.

We (6 people) were there two days ago. Accidentally ended up there at noon. The food and the atmosphere were exactly our case😀, so we decided to enjoy the great atmosphere, the delicious food and the very friendly service again in the evening. If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back there

Very hospitable. That came quickly and was exactly as I wanted it to be. I ordered the 500g medium rump steak. The steak was spot on and delicious. I highly recommend the shop.

We are in Celle only once a year and I had no idea It was there until my Dad recommended it. We had dinner there last week, the weather was great for sitting in the beer garden. I had the schnitzel with a baked potato and it was by far the best schnitzel I’d had on this trip. My Dad had the Schweins Haxe and I could see it was fall-off-the-bone tender. My Husband had the Ochsen fetzen which he said was average. What really stood out was the service. For the most part I find service in Germany quite rude, but these two ladies were great, very friendly, and had a great sense of humour. They really made and already good evening even better.

We were there yesterday (09/26/20). We were welcomed with warmth and ate a delicious raw roulade and drank good beer. In the familiar atmosphere we were offered to take part in a raffle, the proceeds of which will be donated to a hospice. The action is very nice and we had a lot of fun at our table. one of my favorite places in Celle! the place is cozy and has a great atmosphere. you can sit at the bar to grab a drink or on nice wide tables if you want to grab a bite to eat. the food is delicious and the staff is your friend. I very recommend a visit to Schattauer if you are in Celle. If you are in the mood for soup ask for the cucumber soup or "Gurkensuppe" in German... it is not on the menu and you will thank me later ;)

Quaint, cozy restaurant with drinks, hot meals and a beer garden. From small snacks to sandwiches, regional specialties (you should definitely try the cold Celler Roulade!) To Argentine rump steak, the kitchen offers a large selection of dishes. There are (also regional) beers, wines, spirits and various non-alcoholic soft drinks to quench your thirst. The service is quick and friendly. Not located directly in the city center, but on the Lüneburger Heerstraße out of town, right next to the area of ​​the General Hospital, the Schattauer can definitely be described as an insider tip of the Celle gastronomy.

Drinks last forever, no matter what, medium-rare steak ordered well-donated. After complaining, the boss wanted to discuss it with me! No thank you. First and last time? (Group of 16 people)

A touch of neglect! There are dried hydrangeas in the entrance area to the beer garden. The seesaw on the actually beautiful playground is broken, risk of injury. The service was very friendly, but the food was served without a mask. Definitely very, very tasty fried potatoes, the salad plentiful and crispy fresh. But: the pleasure was gone when it turned out that the toast on the plate had green mold in large quantities on the back. Even the espresso on the house (we had to pay for the salad!) Couldn't save anything. We won't be back (!)

Yesterday we ended the day of school with the whole family. We have seldom had such an attentive, friendly and funny staff. We felt good all around and ate delicious. Absolutely child-friendly

The food is delicious, the portions generous and the prices reasonable. The atmosphere in the garden is really nice and there is a great play area for children with a slide, swings and trampoline. But the service is really outstanding. Charming, attentive, nimble and funny. 6 out of 5 stars.

The food here is really good, I especially love the soups. There is home-style German cuisine with specialties from Celle, such as raw roulade. Schnitzel, knuckles, if you like meat, you will definitely get your money's worth. The prices are reasonable. The ambience is quaint, cozy, there is a large bar and slot machines, which doesn't seem very family-friendly at first. But then suddenly a wonderful beer garden with a trampoline and play facilities for children appears, so that parents with smaller children can eat in peace while the little ones can let off steam in sight. If you take a closer look into the restaurant, you will notice board games that are also played. It happens that the staff sit down with Grandma Erna on a quiet evening to play a game of man-anger-you-not. You can feel comfortable here from very small to old and also get into conversation with the nice staff. All in all, you just feel welcome here and treated very humanely.

There were three of us in the Schattau beer garden. The service was super nice, the order was taken quickly and the drinks were on the table shortly afterwards. The food wasn't long in coming either. So, all round a successful evening 👍👌

We were there for the first time last night with 8 people. The table under the chestnut was fantastic. The staff pays great attention to safety regulations. It is worth mentioning here that you can get every dish in "smaller" sizes. The service and the kitchen try to make every guest wish possible - you can't give it there. The taste of the food is highly recommended - very good German cuisine. We would love to come back and thank the staff for this wonderful and unforgettable evening.

Those were the best fried potatoes and the best schnitzel ... delicious. My husband ate the raw roulade ... great. Very friendly service, very courteous and friendly. The beer garden is so cozy ... you can forget the time 👍

We had made a reservation and got a wet set of seats in the beer garden because all the umbrella seats were occupied, despite a reservation! After 20min. At our wet table we got the cards ... 15min later we were allowed to order drinks / food. The drinks only came after asking again. At the time of the meal, an incorrect order came in and I was asked where my problem was because the food delivered was of a higher quality than the one I ordered. That is not the point behind an order, to be asked why you do not want the wrong one.

Very nice with you. The onion soup was also delicious, but you don't need a whole slice of toast. Your nice manner made the evening nice and the ox shreds were good.
